What ages do you teach? +
I specialise in teaching students aged 4 and up, when musical foundation is most naturally absorbed.
How long are your lessons? +
Lessons are usually 45 mins or 60 mins as both theory and practical will be covered.
Are complete beginners welcome? +
Absolutely! We will learn music through fun activities before notation. Students will fall in love with music first.
Where are lessons conducted? +
You may attend lessons at my home studio located in Tengah, Singapore — conveniently accessible from Jurong West, Bukit Batok, Bukit Timah, and Choa Chu Kang. I could also come to your place should it be equipped with a piano.
Is it necessary to own a piano? +
Yes, it is highly recommended to have one as practising is required for steady progress.
How much do lessons cost? +
Lesson fees depend on the duration and level. Please get in touch for a detailed fee schedule — I'm happy to discuss what works for your family.
Does Patricia follow the ABRSM syllabus? +
Yes, ABRSM preparation is available where appropriate. Patricia guides each student through the syllabus at a comfortable pace, ensuring they're well-prepared for graded examinations.
What happens during the first lesson? +
The first session is a consultation where Patricia gets to know your child, assesses their current level (if any), and discusses goals with you. It's a relaxed, no-pressure introduction.
